Principal Update - Oct 2

      I am happy to announce that we do not have many announcements.  This week was productive, well attended, and the students all seem to be generally pretty happy.  I only have two items right now.

       First, we have received a lot of feedback on the Friday structure.  It is almost unanimous from the respondents that this is a good idea to continue to experiment with.  I can say that I am very happy with the utilization of the Friday time.  Today, we had 44/160 students in the school accessing instruction, getting help, and catching up.  We will be asking for more input in the latter part of October after you have had some more time with the system and we encourage all of you to respond so that we can make the best decisions possible.

      Second, we have parent teacher interviews taking place on October 22.  Due to CoVid, we will be changing the structure a little bit.  We will be running our traditional system (come and go with no schedule) from 4:00pm to 7:00pm and then from 7:00pm to 8:00pm we will be offering online conferences for those parents who are not able to come into the school.  Please look for more information on this in the coming days.

     Thank you for another good week of education and thank you for having such good kids.  I must say that I get a really good vibe and feeling from the students this year.  There are always issues and difficult times, but our students are keeping their heads up and their attitudes positive.  Thank you for that.  Have a great weekend,
