Government of Alberta announces K-12 school re-entry for Sept 2020
Updated August 4:
As anticipated, the government has announced that all schools in Alberta will be re-opening for the fall. At this time, that means full in-class learning with enhanced health and safety measures. These measures include:
- Mandatory face masks for all staff and students
- Hand sanitizing stations for each room
The government will be providing each staff and student with 2 re-useable masks in addition to supplying PBHS with hand sanitizer, field shields for staff, 2 thermometers, as well as exploring the idea of testing staff and students on site.
The government has left many of the decisions up to local School Boards and their schools so that we may operate safely and effectively. Over the next month, Palliser and PBHS will work together to create protocols that address public health measures. Please be patient with us and continue to check back in the weeks prior to re-entry for more information on classes as well as a re-entry handbook created by Palliser Regional Schools.
